What you might not know is there are many places to eat and drink in and around Randwick. With The Spot, the light rail (located opposite The Lurline) 15 minutes from trendy food mecca Surry Hills, and Coogee’s famous Coogee Pavilion a 7 minute drive away, it’s hard to know where to start but here’s some of Sydney’s best.

 

The Spot, Coogee Beach, the Entertainment Quarter, Paddington, Surry Hills, the City and beyond are all within 15-20 mins of The Lurline.

 

Randwick

22 grams (brekky and lunch): The best brekky & lunch in Randwick. Less than a minute walk away, everything is made from scratch with ethical ingredients and a ridiculous amount of care.

Baccomotto Osteria (dinner): This lovely family run operation is located in the Newmarket development, just a few minutes from The Lurline. Indulge in their pizza, pasta andother Italian mainstays via room service, or dine-in at this delicious establishment.

The Cookhouse (lunch and dinner): A fun vibe located opposite The Lurline. Share plates, creative cocktails & pub fare in a setting with exposed beams & sandstone walls. Room service also available. 

Ra Ra Ramen (lunch and dinner): your local ramen bar serving up traditional bowls that you’d slurp on the streets of Japan. Their signature stocks are made instore, as are the hand made noodles.

Blue Monkey Thai: A wonderful advantage of our location is the access to amazing Asian food. Check out Blue Monkey Thai for a quick and delicious meal.

Del Punto: Inspired by the vibrant tapas scene of Barcelona’s streets, discover why Del Punto is The Spot’s favourite cocktail bar and restaurant. Perfect for date nights, big celebrations and everything in between. Del Punto is right across the road from The Ritz cinema, in the heart of The Spot, Randwick.

Four Frogs Creperie (dessert): The clue is in the name. Settle in for a sweet or savoury crepe at this famous local establishment.

Maybe Frank: For an Italian feed featuring delicious pizza, cocktails and wines. Winner of Top 10 Pizzas in Sydney 2018 according to aficionados Gourmet Traveller.

Coogee – 5 minute drive

Betty’s Burgers: This famous establishment is a classic burger shack, serving the freshest, juiciest and most mouth-watering burgers around.

Calipress CoogeeFor delicious smoothies, cold pressed juices, nutritional salads, acai bowls and the finest Allpress coffee check out this healthy stop on your way to the beach.

Coogee Pavilion: For fresh seafood, meats and drinks by the glorious Coogee Beach, settle in for breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the biggest vibes in Sydney.

 

Surry Hills – 15-20 minute tram

Just a 15-20 minute light rail adventure leads you to leafy Bourke and café-lined Crown street, known for its stylish cultural scene and diverse mix of cafes, bars and restaurants. 

Terraced houses on Crown and Cleveland streets showcase hip coffee joints, fashion boutiques and global eateries. Trendy pubs, wine bars and galleries dot the area around Surry Hills.

Hop off at the corner of Devonshire Street (you can’t miss the building with the cool art installation) and indulge in a meal at one of the highest rated cafes in Sydney, FOURATEFIVE.
